They try to disguise that glucose stuff as a yummy orange drink. It looks innocent enough but I have been dreading it the last four weeks. I took some advice and just started drinking and didn't stop until all 10 ounces were down the hatch. I must have had a horrible look on my face because the man sitting across from me in the waiting room kept snickering at me and grinning. Down it went and down it stayed. What a relief that is over! I am now hoping that I don't have any elevated sugar levels so that I don't have to go back again for the longer test.
Heard Molly's heartbeat, had some blood drawn, got to step on a scale and pee in a cup! What a fun and productive morning for me. Signed the papers stating that Molly will be my last child unless some major divine intervention occurs. Dr. Parrott had to stress the permanence of my decision, blah, blah, blah....just give me the pen.
My next appointment is in four weeks and then I start going every two weeks. I am in the homestretch folks! Two trimesters down, one to go!

I think that I am one of the few people that actually enjoyed the orangey non soda. Glad to hear you kept it all down though. Nothing like hurling in a waiting room to bring down the mood for the day.
