I hate tomatos and cucumbers, Sam doesn't like peppers or cucumbers, my brother loves cucumbers but doesn't care so much for mushrooms, the list could go on and on. So, how does one make a salad for so many picky people at the dinner table? My brilliant mother had the easiest solution for it that it gave me a duh moment.
She took out her Tupperware divided server and put all of the different toppings into separate sections. She literally created a mini salad bar for the middle of the table. Ingenious! Now, I don't have to pick out those slimey cucumubers! Sam also loved helping make the salad bar and she actually ate more vegetables than usual because she got to make her own salad.
Another bonus, the lettuce is usually the first thing to wilt and go in a salad making the rest of it less than appetizing. This way, you can pop all the toppings in the refrigerator and add them to fresh lettuce as you want them.
Thanks Mom for your stroke of motherly brilliance.

That's a great idea! I have done some of the things separate, but I have that tupperware thing I can use! Thanks for sharing! Hope you feel better!
